Living the Acts 1:8 Challenge

Announcements

Important Meeting Jan. 10, 2021: Please don’t forget to mark your calendars for the very important meeting on Sunday, January 10, from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. I can’t overstate how important this meeting is for the successful transition to a new pastor. It is critical that the entire church be engaged in this process.
At the meeting, the discussions will be focusing on where we have been, where we are, and where we want to go in the future. Everyone will get to share their thoughts and visions on where they would like to see Northgate go from here. A consensus will grow out of those conversations and give direction for moving forward.
We will look at the role of pastor: what are the duties and responsibilities. Also, we look at what it means to be a Southern Baptist Church.
The purpose of this initial meeting is to help set the groundwork for moving forward and to see who might be interested in serving on the Ministry Transition Team.  No commitments will be needed at the initial meeting.  If you cannot attend, you can sign in on Zoom and participate via the internet.  Instructions are available via the Words of Encouragement from Pastor Craig page.
Dr. Allan Thompson, our Director of Missions for the Mountain State Association, will be leading the meeting.

Daily Prayer outline:  I would ask each of us to take time daily and pray.   Here is a simple guide that can help direct your prayer.
. Pray for the Governor and his team to make wise decisions.
. Pray that God will take this virus away.
. Pray for those who are having their hours at work cut back or are being laid off.
. Pray for the countries that have been hardest hit and have suffered great human loss. There is much grieving going on around the world.
. Pray for our community that we will be safe, be kind to one another and help each other.
.Pray for our church family that we will stand strong together and be available to each other.
. Pray for the safety of those who are in the medical field.  They are on the frontlines.

There are many other things to pray for. This is simply a guide to help us get started.
Blessings,
Pastor Craig
