Fall Activities

Saturday, October 20 - Weiner Roast, Pony Rides, Hay Rides and Games - Pastor
          Craig & Vicki’s House - Noon - 3:00 pm
          On Saturday, Oct. 20, from Noon to 3:00 pm there will be a family activity held at Pastor Craig and Vicki’s house at 100 Mollohan Dr. in Beckley. The Legg family will bring Applejack, a small horse, for the kids to ride as well as have hayrides. Corn Hole will be set up for the adults. The menu will include hot dogs and marshmallows roasted on an open fire. Bring the entire family, friends and neighbors for a time of fun and fellowship.  If it is raining the day of the event, it will be cancelled.
Sunday, Oct. 28th - Pastor's Appreciation Dinner - Fellowship Hall - 12:15 - 2:00
          There will be a Pastor’s Appreciation Dinner immediately following the morning worship service on Sunday, Oct. 28.  The church will provide the meat and drinks. Please bring a side dish or dessert, and join us in a time of fellowship to show Pastor Craig and his family how much we appreciate them.
October - Pastor Appreciation Month - All Month
          October is Pastor Appreciation month. Show Pastor Craig and his family how much they are appreciated by picking up a card while you are out shopping, and dropping it in the basket at the entrance to the sanctuary on Sunday morning this month.

It’s Shoebox Time!: Running through Sunday, Nov. 11, you will have an opportunity to share you love with children around the world. You can pick up a shoebox, fill it with toys, crayons, gifts, and numerous other things, and sent it to children in another part of the world. All you need will be in your shoebox that you pick up at church. If you have any questions, call the church office at 304-255-4021 and talk to Anita.
Wednesday, Nov. 14 - Pack Thanksgiving Boxes for Heritage House - 6:30 -7:30
          We will pack and deliver Thanksgiving boxes to the residents of Heritage House. These boxes include a turkey breast, stuffing and all the things needed for a Thanksgiving meal. All classes will be cancelled for this evening. We do this as a church family. You will truly be blessed.

Wednesday, Nov. 21 - Thanksgiving Service - Sanctuary - 6:30 - 7:30
          Everyone will meet in the Sanctuary for a special Thanksgiving Service on this evening. All other classes will be cancelled so that we can give thanks for all the blessings God has given us through the year. Come and join us as we thank God for his blessings this year.
November / December - Ringing Bells for Salvation Army - Dates/Times to be announced
December - Deliver Christmas Boxes to Area Schools - Dates / Times to be announced
          We will once again partner with Appalachian Christmas Boxes to deliver boxes of toys and other goodies to take to the schools in Raleigh County. This is a great ministry outreach.
Sunday, Dec. 2 - Chrismon Service - 6:00 pm
          Bring your friends, neighbors and family, and join us for this special Christmas service. This will help keep us focused on the true meaning of advent.
Sunday, Dec. 9 - Church Wide Christmas Dinner - following Morning Worship Service
          The Annual Christmas Dinner will be held in the Fellowship Hall following the Morning Worship service Sunday, Dec. 9. 
Sunday, Dec. 16 - Children / Youth Christmas Plays - 6:00 pm
          The Children and Youth will be having their Christmas play Sunday night, Dec. 16 at 6:00 pm. Everyone is invited to come out as they tell us the Christmas story. It is a story that is everlasting, and reminds us of the real reason for the season.
Wednesday, Dec. 19 - Christmas Caroling at Heritage House - 6:30 - 7:30
          Join us as we take Christmas cookies and hot chocolate to our neighbors at Heritage House and share in Christmas Caroling. Bring some cookies, your children and some friends, and join us as we minister to our neighbors. 
Monday, Dec. 24 - Candlelight Christmas Eve Service - 6:00 pm
          On Monday, Dec. 24 we will have a special candlelight service to remember the real reason for the season. Bring your family, friends and neighbors and come to this special service. What better way to celebrate the eve of Christ’s birth than in community worship?
