Announcements

 Prayer Leaders Needed:  We have added a special prayer for our nation and it’s division each week during the morning worship service.  We are putting together a schedule of people to lead the prayers.  Please contact Pastor Craig  at 304-255-4021 or Rick Smith  at 304-573-7123 if you are interested in participating. 
 
National Day of Prayer Readers Needed: It is time once again to celebrate the
National Day of Prayer in Word Park, opposite the First Baptist Church on May 3. We have two time slots, and need two readers, or pairs of readers to represent the church in those time slots. The times are 3:45 - 4:00 AM, and 9:45 - 10:00 PM. You may read anything from the Bible you wish. There will be police security during the evening hours. If you are interested in participating in the National Day of Prayer, please contact Anita in the church office at 304-255-4021 by May 1. 

Retirement Party for Rick Smith: On Saturday, May 5 there will be a retirement party for Rick Smith from 3:00 - 5:00 pm in Fellowship Hall. Everyone is invited to attend.
 
Birthday Boxes for Royal Family Kids Camp: We are again supplying Birthday Boxes for the Royal Family Kids Camp this year. We need all boxes in by Sunday, May 13, so they can have the final things added to them, and be wrapped by other volunteers.   You may drop them off on Sunday morning, or on Wednesday evening. You may also come by the office during office hours Monday –Thursday, 9-2. If you have any questions, please call Anita at the church office at 304-255-4021.
 
End of School Bash:  On Wednesday, May 30, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm we will celebrate the end of the school year with a big bash! Come join us for a big cook out with hot dogs, chips, and other goodies. Bring your friends and help celebrate the end of school, and the beginning of summer with food, fellowship and lots of fun.

Help Kim With her Summer Mission Trip:  Kim Ferguson, one of our college students at Marshall, is involved with a campus ministry called Cru.  They have many opportunities for students for students to go on summer mission trips.  Kim felt called to go on one to Daytona Beach, and got accepted to go!  It is for three weeks, May 22-June 12, and she needs to raise money for the trip.  You can do this two ways.  You can write a check to her or donate online.  If you donate online, follow this link:  https://give.cru.org/0972604  .   If you write a check, MAKE IT PAYABLE TO CRU, and on the memo line put Kim Ferguson's mission trip.  You don't have to donate a lot, just whatever you feel led to donate. Her deadline is May 15th. She also needs you to pray for her during the time of her mission trip.  She would like to thank you for your prayers and your support.

Host Families Needed: Tim Epling, coach of the WV Miners baseball team, needs homes for 10 players. This will be for about 35 days this summer, Mid-May through Aug. 6. They basically need a place to sleep and a couple meals per day, as the rest of their time is spent at the stadium. As a host family you will receive season tickets to all home games, among other things. If you have the room, and are interested in helping, please call Tim Epling at 304-673-2519. 
 
Nursery Workers Needed: If you would like to volunteer in the nursery, please contact Beth Stewart.  She can be reached by phone at 304-683-6848 or by e-mail at jds0788@yahoo.com.
 
Devohub: This is a devotional ministry offered by the church.  Go to the app store and down load the Devohub app while at church, then you will have devotions wherever you go!  There are devotions for all age groups that are updated daily. 
  
We Now Have Online Giving!  The church has the availability for you to give online through our website, www.northgatebaptistchurch.com.  Click on the button in the middle of the home page, and it will allow you to use your debit and credit cards to make your offering.  You can also choose from different things to donate to, such as Regular Budget, Annie Armstrong, Lottie Moon, etc.  So if you miss a Sunday, don’t worry - you can just go online and put in your offering without missing a beat.  It will also keep track of your donations for the end of the year tax time as well, so don’t worry about that either.  Try it out and see what you think, and let us know.
  
Prayer Chain:  If you have any prayer concerns or someone ill in your family you would like to have put on the prayer chain, please contact our Prayer Chain Coordinator Vanessa Scott at 304-644-8431 or e-mail her at nessie1275@gmail.com  She will get your prayer concerns out to those on the prayer chain and your loved one will be prayed over by our prayer chain.  If you would like to join our prayer chain, you can contact her, or contact the church office at 304-255-4021 or e-mail us at anita@northgatebaptistchurch.com. Either contact can also answer your questions about the prayer chain as well.
 
Announcements and Inserts:  If you would like to have an announcement put in the bulletin, please have the information  to the church office by Thursday morning.  If you would like an insert put in the bulletin, please have the information to us no later than Wednesday by 1:00 pm.  The bulletin is usually printed around noon on Thursday, so this will ensure your announcement makes it in on time.
 
Notary service available:   Anita Henry, our Church Secretary, can notarize any papers you may need notarized.  Just bring your papers by the church office during the hours of 9:00 am - 2:00 pm Monday through Thursday.  This is a free service offered through the church. 
  
To Schedule an Event If you would like to schedule an event, please call the church office between the hours of 9:00 am -2:00 pm, Monday - Thursday to have your event placed on the church calendar.  You will also need to stop by between those same hours to sign out a key to unlock the church, and sign a use of building form.  You will be responsible for removing your decorations and cleaning up after the event.   Please take home any towels and wash cloths that you have used and launder them and return them to the church.
